Preserve. Protect. Restore.

Rangelands NRM exists to preserve, protect and restore the land, water and sea of WA’s rangelands. Through dedicated conservation and stewardship, we work to secure a healthy, resilient and prosperous outback for the communities, Country and generations who depend on it. We manage the largest land areas in the world, spanning 87% of our state across the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields-Esperance and the remote Midwest. The rangelands sustain biodiversity found nowhere else on Earth, support the pastoral and farming communities that feed our state, and carry the living cultures of the world’s oldest civilisations.

But they are under pressure. Climate change, invasive species, land degradation and fire are pushing these landscapes to their limits — and without active, long-term stewardship, the damage becomes permanent.

That work takes sustained investment. Government funding plays a critical role, but it cannot reach everything that needs to be done. Your donation fills that gap — supporting the programs, partnerships and on-ground care that keep the rangelands alive, functioning and full of possibility for the generations who will inherit them.

This is not charity. It is stewardship — and it matters now more than ever.

Why your support matters

The rangelands are not a distant concern — they are the foundation of WA’s environment, economy and cultural identity.

When they are healthy, they filter and store water, regulate our climate, support carbon storage and underpin billions of dollars in agricultural and pastoral production.

When they degrade, the consequences are felt by everyone: reduced food security, increased risk for industry, the loss of irreplaceable species, and the slow erosion of the cultural heritage that makes this country extraordinary.

Supporting Rangelands NRM means investing in the long-term stewardship that keeps these systems functioning — not just for today, but for the communities, Country and generations who will depend on them long after us.

Every contribution, at any level, helps us show up on Country, build the partnerships that matter, and deliver the kind of sustained, science-led care that the rangelands urgently need.

Your donation in action

Every dollar contributed to Rangelands NRM is directed back into the care and stewardship of WA’s rangelands.

Donations support the programs, people and partnerships that commercial and government funding alone cannot fully resource, filling the gaps that make the difference between landscapes that recover and landscapes that don’t.

This includes:

  • Funding on-Country conservation and restoration work
  • Supporting Indigenous ranger programs and Traditional Custodian-led land management
  • Controlling invasive species and feral animals that threaten native ecosystems
  • Delivering environmental monitoring and biodiversity surveys
  • Building the capability of local communities and landholders to care for their country
  • Investing in the technology that helps us manage landscapes at the scale the rangelands demand
